Indigo Blowout part 2

In case you are wondering why the sky is so blue and the grass so green, it's because we live in paradise

Marcella's silk blouse

Blowin' in the wind

Marcella's jacket above and below

Marcella brought me this fabulous linen blouse at Goodwill. It WAS beige. Here it is in the process of oxidizing and will soon be a deep blue.

Marcella's scarf. I think she used a plastic chain.

Judith after double dipping. She is still not happy.

Shameem (Sophia!) checking out her dyed blouse.

Judith's double dipped piece.

I think this is my scarf after double dipping.

The GREAT blouse Marcella gave me.

Shameem's felted piece covered in grass from the lawn - our oxidizing platform.

Another silk blouse for Marcella.

We all dyed a coptic stitched book; gifts from Marcella.

Shameem "de-grassing" her pieces.

That was my big piece of cotton

Shameem was very fussy with her book using string and elastic and Plexiglas presses before dipping her book.

Tools of the trade

This is a huge piece of cloth Judith prepared by wrapping after carefully measuring where each wrap should   go.

OK, Now Judith is happy with her circle piece.

Shameem wanted to dye some roving so I suggested a bag of some sort to dunk it in. I lent her a large piece of silk organza. Wasn't I smart?

She triple dipped and on the last dip (the vat was getting exhausted and so were we), she let all the fabric get a quick dip. That is actually what the piece of organza looks like. YUM YUM

Shameems "resist" book front and back. Really successful.

These are 3 rayon infinity scarves that I made and they are for sale for $25. They are buttery soft and about 70+" around. They easily double wrap and could probably triple wrap around you neck.
