New book cover

* A note before I start. I really want to thank everyone who sent a comment about my sketchbook. Last time I did a sketchbook post I had no comments and I wasn't sure if "anyone was out there" or if there was no interest. I guess neither was true...Thanks again for your kind comments. And now.........

I had a book with me at a meeting the other day and a friend admired it so I gave it to her. That left me with a naked book!! It's been a while since I made a book cover but this is what I did.

Fabrics are out of my scrap basket. I need to start sewing some of these scraps together and making fabric/yardage (smile)
I guess I forgot to get a picture before I quilted it. This was before trimming.

This was the flip side. You can see the black marker outlining the book so I know where to sew.

This is the lining of the book and yes, I see I sewed the flaps on backwards. No biggie. It's my book so I'm the only one who will see it.

The outside of the cover sewn to the lining.

And the cover on the book.

And now on to a bigger project (suspenseful music)
